The naming of amines

The name of the simple amine, amine as the functional group, called a amine, first write the name of the hydroxyl group connected to the nitrogen atom, and then the tail of the amine word; diamine and polyamine, when its amino-linked in the open chain hydroxyl or directly connected to the benzene ring, can be called diamine or triethanolamine.

More complex amines can be termed as derivatives of hydrocarbons. Quaternary ammonium compounds can be considered as derivatives of ammonium to be named.

Quaternary amine compounds can be termed as derivatives of amines.
